Andrea Botez came to techno from an unlikely direction. As one half of the BotezLive channel she is among the best-known chess personalities online, with a following of more than four million across her platforms — and it is that audience she brought with her into the club.
She began her techno journey in Berlin and built a following by sharing her live sets on a channel dedicated purely to music, passing a hundred thousand subscribers within a year. Her dark techno mixes drew several million views.
Her collaborations with producers including biskuwi, Naeleck and WHIPPED CREAM place her work in melodic and dark techno. In Berlin she fills Ritter Butzke on every return.
